Gaga released "Applause" early last week due to early song leaks. Soon after she premiered the lyric video for her fiery dance track which saw Gaga dancing with some famous drag queens in West Hollywood. Now the official video is out for "Applause" and she is the one playing dress this time around.
The "Applause" is music video is actually a normal length which is a break from Gaga's usual mini-movie clips. She takes the stage and plays numerous characters, including an updated version of Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus." Among the colorful fashion, there is some iconic pieces like a bra made to look like a set of clapping hands. The messy clown makeup Gaga from the single's cover art also makes an appearance. She is pulling all the stops to get your applause and attention and this video seems like the right way to go about doing that.
"Applause" is the first single from Gaga's new album "ARTPOP," which drops on November 11.
