Pop diva Lady Gaga has been labeled a gay icon, not only for her support for the gay community, but also because of her expression and openness. Gaga opened up once more on her appearance Wednesday night on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen. As Extra reports on September 12, the Grammy Award-winning singer opened up about lesbian past.
Gaga has been an advocate for gay rights and anti-bullying. She has opened up about being bullied in her past. She values self-expression and people being celebrated for who they are inside and out.
The 26-year-old revealed that she has taken a dip into the “lady” pond and elaborated on something she has admitted to before. She likes girls and it is apart of who she is. Although she is currently dating actor Taylor Kinney, she does have an attraction to women.
“For me, it’s similar to how I feel about guys. I like them because i find lesbians to be way more daring than straight men, when it comes to coming on to you. And I really like that. And it wasn’t until I found a guy that could come onto me as strong as a lesbian that I fell in love.”
So Mr. Kinney must be one daring fella. Gaga also revealed to being a stripper in New York when she was younger which helped her make the money she needed to launch her singing career.
Lady Gaga also opened up about Miley Cyrus, voicing her support for the star who has been recently ridiculed for her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. She feels “everyone has to just lighten up and leave her alone.” Like herself, she believes everyone is “entitled to their own artistic expression.”
