Lady Gaga has a devoted fan base. Her "Little Monsters" follow her every move, applauding all the way. But, according to an article published by Yahoo! on March 12, 2013, rumors of impending nuptials with her boyfriend Taylor Kinney have caused some to become outraged.
The hysteria started when The Sun published comments by Lady G confidante "DJ Starlight," who said, "She’s told me he’s the one. I don’t think I’m dropping a secret by saying they are ready to get hitched this year."
Immediately Twitter lit up with howls from fans ranting over perceived hypocrisy, false stories about Gaga's health and abandonment of them by the superstar.
Δ†hül expresses her abandonment issues: "@ladygaga are you really getting married with taylor?? What about us???"
What does that mean? Will Lady Gaga stop touring if she marries? If she has kids? That's not very likely.
Mi$s $aF@Ri tweeted, "Lady Gaga getting married to a dude...what a joke! So much for 'I was born this way'...sell out! She shuda married a female too."
Huh? So much for "tolerance" of differing life choices.
The_News_DIVA (catchy!) suspects Gaga's recent tour cancellation had nothing to do with her health, tweeting, "Lady Gaga's Cancelled Tour Leading to More Time With Boyfriend."
Comments on the article seemed to be more level-headed and congratulatory. Even if a few opined that this is not really news.
But it does leave room for speculation. Does Lady Gaga manipulate her fans out of true empathy?
Or is it all a calculated PR stunt?
