Lady Gaga cried while she sang “Dope”, a song off her recently leaked album “ARTPOP”, at the first annual Youtube Music Awards on Nov. 3, according to Hollywood Life. Gaga has been receiving harsh reviews for “ARTPOP” in the media after the album leaked on Saturday, and recently fans harassed an Examiner reviewer of the album.
Lady Gaga wore a flannel shirt, no pants and no shoes during her bare bones performance of “Dope”. The pop star belted out the lyrics with much emotion, tears streaming down her face. Clearly, Gaga connected with her new song’s composition, despite an apparent disconnect with reviewers and some fans.
Lady Gaga’s introductory outfit to the Youtube Music Awards was even stranger. She wore a black leather button up shirt, no pants (yet again), gigantic platform shoes, black farmer’s hat and disgusting “Austin Powers”-like fake teeth.
“ARTPOP” was recently reviewed by an Examiner, giving Lady Gaga’s newest album one of five stars. The reviewer called the album “one of the biggest musical disasters”, and was subsequently flamed for her opinion of the musical collection.
I had to disable the comments due to Lady Gaga fans threatening to behead my daughter, rape my mother … It appears that Lady Gaga's Born This Way foundation has really worked with her fans … they wished my family would have been been burned in the Hiroshima bombing, which took place in Japan. My family is from China!” the reviewer, Angela Cheng wrote.
