Lady Gaga concert postponement may be due to poor ticket sales

Exclusive update: Live Nation pulls plug on tour because of money (not hip) issues

Lady Gaga says she’s “heartsick” to postpone four shows after sustaining an injury that’s left her unable to walk. But many over the Internet have questioned whether or not this is just Mother Monster's latest publicity stunt.

A Tuesday news release says performances set for Feb. 13-14 in Chicago, Feb. 16 in Detroit and Feb. 17 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, have been postponed due to a case of synovitis, a severe joint inflammation. However, doctors we spoke to say synovitis requires a lot more than a week to recover and it's a condition one can't just "hide," which Lady Gaga claims she did.

Like Janet Jackson back in 2008, Lady Gaga could be suffering from a condition known as "low ticket sales." The shows she postponed were far from sellouts and several of Lady Gaga's recent shows have been undersold as she has given away massive amounts of tickets in order to make the venues look full. The St. Paul Tribune even noted Lady Gaga's poor ticket sales and how she had to give several away at the last minute.

Lady Gaga obviously senses her career dwindling. She is already hyping her next album "ARTPOP" as a comeback, saying she will rise from the ashes like a Phoenix. Her team is already hyping it as the best album ever made.
