Lady Gaga has cancelled the remaining dates of her "Born This Way Ball" tour due to an upcoming surgery according to a CNN report on Wednesday (Feb. 13).
The popular singer had previously canceled four stops on the "Born This Way Ball" tour because of an undisclosed illness. It was revealed on Wednesday that the star was trying to rest a hip injury (tear) from a previous performance. The injury was not responding to rest and was so painful that Lady Gaga could not even walk.
Lady Gaga's tear in her hip is due to extreme and repetitive movements from her concert dance moves. She was later diagnosed with synovitis. Synovitis is a severe inflammation of the joints.
A statement released by Gaga's tour operator stated, "She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict downtime to recover. This unfortunately will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal."
Refunds to all remaining shows in the tour can be obtained at point of purchase.
