Lady Gaga opened the iTunes Festival to a bunch of angry fans in England on Sunday. Though it appears many of the boos had been edited out, people tweeting from the show are reporting on the latest proof that Lady Gaga's career is in the toilets.
"Lady Gaga is being booed. People are so rude, but I think this is a message that they are finally sick of her," one person tweeted.
"Lady Gaga just came out on stage and people are booing her. She looks like she is on some serious drugs," tweeted another.
"I came on stage to see Lady Gaga. Not some cocaine-induced has-been who is trying her best to score a hit," tweets yet another angry fan. His sentiments appear to be echoing a lot of people lately as Lady Gaga's career has taken a turn for the worse. Her "Applause" single has dropped to number 9 in England only after two weeks. In the United States, the song is flatlining at radio, but is being kept afloat at Billboard with fans purchasing as much as 800 copies and illegally play-listing the song 1500 times with the press of one button.
Let's hope Lady Gaga can turn things around soon. If not, we will have to deal with several more pathetic publicity stunts. Then again, watching a train wreck is always exciting in a strange way.
