Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera treat 'Voice' audience to duet

This might be the hottest pop star collaboration since Britney and Madonna's Me Against the Music, Beyonce and Shakira's Beautiful Lie, and let's not forget the infamous Britney-Madonna-Christina MTV VMA performance (you know, the kiss). The two powerhouse pop stars gave 'The Voice' viewers a treat when they took to the stage during last night's finale for a duet of What U Want, a track off of Lady Gaga's latest album ARTPOP.

It helped put a stop to circulating rumors that the two were engaged in a feud which reportedly began in 2008, around the time that Lady Gaga's career skyrocketed. The ladies were all smiles during their performance, not a trace of animosity to be found. Both have even admitted that they were looking forward to meeting each other.

"I'm a very big fan of Christina Aguilera. From the very beginning of when my career started, there was all this controversy about the two of us. I always felt that it was very unfair" Mother Monster told 'Watch What Happens Live' on the Sept. 12th edition. She went on to say that she is "an incredible vocalist and artist" and went on to offer an apology to Christina.

As for Christina, she said of her pop peer "I've been waiting to meet her. She's such an innovative artist and a risk taker, and as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that."

Keep your eyes open for a future collaboration.
