Lady Antebellum tops Country chart with crossover-bound 'Bartender'

According to Kworb.net, Lady Antebellum's “Bartender” finished the tracking period running from Aug. 24-30 with 68.423 million impressions. “Bartender” leads the runner up single, Kenny Chesney's “American Kids” by 3.935 million impressions.

Lady Antebellum also finishes the week as fifth greatest gainer, with a gain of 3.904 million impressions from the previous tracking period. Meanwhile, Chesney gained 3.855 million to finish the week with 64.588 million impressions.

Lady Antebellum's label is preparing to remix the already rhythmic and pop heavy song by removing the Country instrumentation, and sending the track to Adult Contemporary, Hot Adult Contemporary, and Top 40 outlets later this month.

Back in 2010, the group had one of the biggest Country crossovers in music with their ballad “Need You Now”, and later scored another Top Ten hit with “Just A Kiss”. This will be Lady Antebellum's chance to show they can also crossover with an up-tempo and rhythmic track too.
