Lady Antebellum isn’t a one song group and Charles Kelly wants you to know it. The band was on the red carpet of the BMI Pop Music Awards on Tuesday night and shared just how amazing it is to be honored for their songwriting. The musical hit ‘Need You Now’ was named BMI’s pop song of the year and the band came to Los Angeles to get their award.
“We write all of our stuff. The three of us,” said Dave Haywood one of the band members. Indicating it was a process that had intense creativity to find the perfect words, Haywood seemed delighted for the honor of the song’s success over the past couple of years.
"It's nice to have new music and have some new stuff to talk about. Don't get me wrong 'Need You Now' has been an amazing ride,” said band mate Charles Kelly. “We want everybody to know we got other music out there as well.”
Lady Antebellum has been working hard in the country music scene and fans have been extremely supportive of their musical efforts. With new music on the way, there is no doubt that in the future Lady A will return to BMI for more awards for their lyrics.
