Lady Antebellum sells 500,000-plus tickets prior to 2012 tour's start

Lady Antebellum, who currently hold more group nominations than any other lineup in the 2012 ACM Awards, has already sold more than half a million tickets for its Own the Night 2012 World Tour, which kick off Jan. 27 in Tulsa, Okla.

According to the trio's PR camp, Lady Antebellum's advance concert sell-outs are at some of the nation’s biggest arenas such as the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Allstate Arena in Chicago, American Airlines Center in Dallas and the DCU Center in Worcester, Maine, to name just four.

"We have been really involved in the planning of our tour every step of the way," remarked the just-wed Hillary Scott, Lady A's first lady. "I remember drawing out an idea for our set design on a paper plate, so to now see it come to life is just crazy. ..."

Moreover, added the just-engaged Dave Haywood, "It has only been four years since we were driving around in (band member) Charles (Kelley's) Jeep Cherokee and sharing a hotel room. This tour is what we've always dreamed of!"

The now-in-progress Own the Night 2012 World Tour is an extension of last year’s popular 2011 leg of the tour. The group's platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated Own the Night album recently entered the top 20 on the U.S. country charts with the CD's third single, "Dancin' Away With My Heart."

Joining Lady A on the tour are country acts Darius Rucker and special guest Thompson Square. For a full list of upcoming tour dates and appearances, please visit www.ladyantebellum.com.
