Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood soon to be a dad

Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum will have a new title–“daddy”–this fall. According to an announcement made on Lady Antebellum’s Twitter page on Monday, Dave Haywood’s wife Kelli is expecting their first baby in September.

The new “Baby A”, as the couple has dubbed the child, is a boy. Of course, the happy couple shared that they are very excited.

A September baby means that Kelli is already in to her second trimester. The couple must obviously be getting good reports from the doctor to feel confident in sharing their news at this time. Elated fans were quick to retweet the Lady A news and offer congratulations. Dave Haywood’s baby news received over 50 replies in less than six hours.

Fans will undoubtedly watch Kelli’s baby bump with growing excitement as the months unfold, just as they did for Lady Antebellum band member Hillary Scott last year. Throughout several concert and awards show performances, Hillary Scott’s belly was expanding until finally, the big announcement of baby Eisele came in the summer.

Though Hillary Scott hasn’t thrust her daughter into the spotlight with abandon, she did tweet some might cute pictures of Eisele snuggling with “Uncle” Charles Kelley at the CMA Awards and Eisele rocking out on the Downtown Tour in December.

Fans will have to wait and see what approach Dave Haywood takes with his son. While some celebrities purposely try to keep their tots out of the limelight, others can’t help but share their cuteness. Of course, Dave’s wife Kelli will have her own thoughts on putting her little guy out there in the midst of Lady Antebellum stardom, so it could go either way.

Baby photos are promising, however, since the happy parents did share quite a bit about their romantic engagement just a little over two years ago. During the 2011 Christmas season, Dave Haywood had picked up Kelli Cashiola at her office and took her on a blindfolded drive. She was surprised to end at her own home where Dave had strung Christmas lights and decorations inside. She was even more surprised when he led her outside to lights across her home spelling out “will you marry me?”

With such a romantic beginning and a couple obviously still very much in love, baby boy Haywood will have a great start in life. Add band members Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, as well as “cousin” Eisele and the newest little Baby A will definitely get lots of love.
