Reinvigorated from a re-release of Golden and a Top 20 hit (with "Compass"), Lady Antebellum has decided to extend their wildly popular Downtown Tour into the summer. The nearly 80-city tour will launch a summer leg on March 22 at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Ariz.

Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves, who are currently serving as opening acts, will continue through a handful of the summer shows. Billy Currington, David Nail and Joe Nichols have been added, in varying capacities, on the newly announced tour dates.

“The energy from the crowds on opening weekend was like a drug…it was totally intoxicating,” says band member Charles Kelley. “It felt so unbelievable to be back on stage together, and each night was better than the last. We’re going on to North Dakota this weekend and from now through the summer amphitheater shows, we’re going to try and raise the bar night after night.”

Last weekend, the Downtown Tour kicked off with a Saturday (Jan. 11) show in Toledo, Ohio to a sold-out crowd. "It's indisputable that Lady A has amazing chemistry that has grown stronger…" the Toledo Blade reported. "The one impression to take away from Lady A's 90-minute set was the enthusiasm that the set was delivered…the unbridled joy on the faces of the three close friends was priceless."
