Hot country group Lady Antebellum has just earned their eighth No. 1 hit with “Compass.” The song not only tops Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, but also the Mediabase chart.

Lady Antebellum is a three-time Academy of Country Music Group of the Year winner, and they are nominated again this year. The ACM Awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on Sun., April 6 on CBS television.

"When we got the news that ‘Compass’ was No. one, we were ironically enough, on a 500 mile detour on the bus in Canada trying to avoid an avalanche,” laughed Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “The timing was actually really funny and fortunately we’re going to make it in plenty of time to see all our fans in Vancouver tonight. We’re so thankful for all our friends in radio, our record label but especially to all the fans that are on their feet each night when we start the show with this song. The energy is infectious, and it sets the night off on an unbelievable course!"

Prior to the ACM Awards show, the group will take a detour from touring to visit Washington, D.C, where they will be honored Grammys on the Hill Awards, and receive the Recording Artists' Coalition Award for their artistry and inventiveness in the country arena as well as their philanthropic efforts.
