On June 29, 2012, Lady Antebellum will bring their phenomenal talent to St. Louis and be escorted by a few well-known friends, Darius Rucker and Thompson Square. Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and Thompson Square will all perform at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis as part of the Bandana's Bar-B-Q Country Mega Ticket. The Country Mega Ticket is one of the biggest announcements of the year, as eager fans line up to get the one ticket that can get them in to see multiple concerts.
Over the past few years, Lady Antebellum's presence in the country music industry has brought them from an up and coming new group to multi award winning artists. Their list of accolades includes ACMs, CMAs, Teen Choice awards, American Music awards multiple Grammy awards and much more. Of the ten singles Lady Antebellum has released since their debut into country music, eight of them have become top ten hits and six of those went on to #1 on the Billboard Country Chart.
Darius Rucker is, of course, known to many music fans as front man for the band Hootie & the Blowfish, but since 2008, country music has been his home. His transition into country music appears to have been quite seamless, given that five of his seven country singles have become #1 hits. Darius Rucker's smooth voice fits well with country music. St. Louis fans will be in for a treat when he accompanies Lady A this summer.
Husband and wife duo, Thompson Square, are no strangers to the majority of country music fans anymore, thanks to their huge breakout hit, Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not. The #1 single has been nominated for several awards and recently won three American Country Awards. As the duo kicks off 2012, they are nominated for two Grammy awards and are currently in the running for New Artist of the Year by the ACM awards.
