LAdobe announces Photoshop Idol design contest

The Los Angeles Adobe User Group community LAdobe is sponsoring an exciting brand identity design competition. The contest provides local Southern California emerging designers an opportunity for recognition, experience, and an extraordinary grand prize package totaling to more than $2,500.

The winning brand identity will become the logo design and the new name for this year's eleventh annual celebration surrounding the Adobe MAX conference. LAdobe will hold the free October 2nd celebration, which will feature tutorials with international design experts and will be jam packed with fun.

For the Photoshop Idol Design Contest, a panel of judges will determine the final three competitors. The three finalists will each present their identity packages to a live audience on Thursday, May 26th at Border Stylo in Hollywood. The audience will then vote to decide the winner.

The amazing prize package for the winner includes a copy of a Creative Suite 5 bundle, six O'Reilly e-books, an Alien Skin Plugin and many more prizes with total value exceeding $2,500.

In 2010, Olia Vradly won Photoshop Idol for her MiniMAX X logo design.

Contest entrants will create a new name for the event without using any of the Adobe product identities. The logo design can be created in the form of anything from an original pencil sketch to a final composition.

Entries are being accepted between now and May 1st via email: admin@laadug.org
