Who says ladies don't drink craft beer? More and more women are jumping on the craft beer bandwagon, especially in Columbus. To celebrate their shared love of microbrews, the Ladies Beer Club was created. Formed in August 2011, co-chairs Jamie Davies O'Leary, Mindy Tullius and Ericka Greene decided women needed to carve out their own niche in the up-and-coming Columbus craft beer scene.
According to their Facebook page, the women are committed to holding monthly meetings in bars, in the comfort of their own homes or any other venue that will allow females to gather to drink, talk, and learn about beer while also "shattering stereotypes about women sipping neon-colored cocktails."
The Ladies Beer Club will be holding their monthly meeting on Friday, November 15th at 7 p.m. inside Arch City Tavern. Whether a Columbus craft beer neophyte or a learned microbrew master who can talk beer with the best of them, all ladies are welcome.
Hope to see you ladies in a couple weeks and enjoy great company and great beer!
