The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) has been presenting great orchestral concerts in Los Angeles since it was founded in 1968. Since 1997, it has been under the leadership of internationally respected pianist and conductor, Jeffrey Kahane and was recently named the new resident orchestra at the UCLA Center for the Performing Arts. LACO's orchestra's season is starting Saturday, September 21 and 22, 2013.
Along with their great 2013-2014 season, LACO is presenting 5 intimate musical fundraisers for patrons who are looking to make a difference in the cultural life of our city. Beginning on Sept. 28th, 2013, five fundraisers will be offered, under the title of "LACO à la carte."
This is also a wonderful opportunity for classical music lovers who miss the charm of old-world style chamber music to get out and experience a great evening in a beautiful private estate.
Many of the evenings will be hosted by several Consul Generals from various countries in their official residences here in Los Angeles. Patrons and new supporters meet for an evening of intimate chamber music concerts featuring LACO’s orchestral musicians, and tasting of international cuisines highlighting each Consul General’s home country.
If you are looking for an extraordinary social and musical evening, reserve your tickets soon. These special events sell out very quickly, as seating is limited.
