Over 100 union members and community allies took part in a taped forum with State AFL-CIO President Richard Bloomingdale to set the record straight on House Bill 1507.
Public workers gave their testimony on how this bill could affect the services they provide, and Jerry Oleksiak, Vice President of the State Educators Association urged members to stay involved and vigilant:
“This fight has brought us together in ways that we could not imagine. We need a voice to say no when we have to and to work together when we can."
The forum aired on the Pennsylvania Cable News network.
The bill itself remains in committee, no further action has been announced.
On Friday, the Keystone Progress forum conducted their straw poll in conjunction with a candidates forum. John Hanger and Brad Koplinsky emerged as the winners.
