Want to get away for Labor Day weekend, but living on a budget these days? How about taking a mini-road trip to one of the many cultural and family-oriented festivals happening this weekend. There are a wide variety of options, so you can take your pick and travel the world without leaving the state or possibly the county. Feast on food, drinks, and entertainment from across the globe or travel back in time to the Old West of California with family and friends this Labor Day weekend and save a few hard earned dollars.

September 3rd

Julian Grape Stomp Festa where adults and children can recreate an "I Love Lucy" episode and hop into a barrel for some grape stomping; the over 21 crowd can wine and dine on Italian cuisine. Greek Festival in Long Beach will be a Greek treat for everyone. Leimart Park African Art and Music Festival in Los Angeles will be held at the HIstoric Leimert Park Village providing true entertainment showcasing the beauty of African culture. There will be live music, poetry, spoken word, dancing, a fashion show, kid and teen activites, arts and crafts, and an international food court. Country Music Festival and Chili Cook-Off in Camarillo, to help support the Camarillo Hospice, being held at the Camarillo Ranch will have a chili cook-off competition, live country music, line dancing, and a car show.
