Wait, that can't be right. Labor Day is a holiday for all workers, but the problem is those workers it targets are all unionists. We celebrate Labor Day supposedly to remember our roots as workers in these United States, but we can't really celebrate this particular day as freedom to work day.
In 1882 the first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City during a a nasty city workers strike. These workers, of course, were union workers. They struck for better wages, better pay, and better working conditions. Unions had the right thing going for them then; but now, if you want the benefits of the union, you have to be a part of the union, otherwise you are forced out of a job. Now, unions will argue this isn't true, but it is. If you work for a union company, you are expected to join the union to get full benefits, otherwise they think you are mooching off of their hard bargaining rewards. Now, why does that sound familiar? Oh yea, the democrats want non-workers to have a part of the wages you earned; and give it to the Obama moochers who want everything you have without breaking out a sweat themselves. These shiftless people are costing this nation billions upon billions of dollars.
There is a similarity of unions with the socialist or communist parties. If you do not belong, you do not reap the rewards. Life is made harder for you and your family. In fact, the unions are the ones running their individual companies, not the companies themselves. Recent events by companies to regain control of their own business and profits have been met with slogans of union busting. But if a company goes out of business, it is the fault of the unions wanting more and more perks. Many unions have resulted to organized crime tactics to get their way, blaming business closures on their inability to handle their finances.
The quality of products have suffered immensely because of unions. Union demands have forced some companies to go to Mexico, or China, for cheap labor, and low quality workmanship. Most of these low quality products are made of material that are banned in the states for “health reasons” by our federal government. Foreign workers are not held to the same standard of work ethics that U.S workers are held to.
And if you disagree with the politics of your country, too bad because the unions will put your money towards supporting the candidate who espouses the belief of the union leadership. You will not have any say in the matter. Union bosses will support corruption, abortions, violence, and criminal acts in general over the principle and morals of the workers. No, Labor Day is not a day to celebrate freedom to work by any stretch of the imagination.
If you can get a better deal, better quality from a non-union shop, the unions will make darn sure those businesses do not get the contract for work. And if the non-union shop got the contract, the unions make it very hard for them to fulfill the contract. Some ( and their families) also have been known to be tortured and murdered by unionists. Freedom to work? Not in the vocabulary of the unions.
The right to work states have had an uphill battle with unions and have suffered greatly to pass the laws for all citizens to be granted the right to work. Lies and violence, seems to be a “hobby” with unionists. If a lie will suit their brand of the “truth”, then that is what they will propagate to the masses. If you are unwilling to join the union, then according to the unions, your life will be trashed to make you the fall guy and them the victim. According to them, you have no right to work.
So as you celebrate Labor Day, study the history of Labor Day and Unions, arm yourself with the truth, then fly your flag and take the family on a picnic.
