Wondering if banks, the stock market, post office and retail stores are open on Labor Day?
If you're trying to find out if Walmart is open or if there is mail delivery on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, here's a list of what's open and what's closed on Labor Day.
The annual federal holiday is officially celebrated on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013. All federal offices will be closed in observation of the holiday that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers across the U.S.A.
If you love to shop, Walmart, Target, and most other retailers (including liquor stores) will be open on Monday. Many stores will be offering big sales all weekend.
Don't expect any mail on Monday because the post office will closed.
The stock market is also closed for the day.

If you need cash, head to the ATM. Most banks are closed on Monday.
However, here in Rhode Island, your local TD Bank is open regular business hours.
Keep in mind, some supermarkets and retail stores are open holiday hours, so it's best to call ahead before you go.
