The Graduate is a lot like the movie of the same name starring Anne Bancroft and Dustin Hoffman, but the stage gives a more intimate portrait of Mrs. Robinson and Ben and their relationship with each other and their families," says Director Lois Kuehne."The play takes place in 1964, in a simpler and gentler time, when secrets are quietly kept and unusual behavior is just overlooked. The iconic line, 'plastics,' is still in place along with all the confusion and angst of Benjamin searching for both love and his place in society."

The ensemble cast of The Graduate come from diverse backgrounds and are grounded in stage, film and television experience. Lois Kuehne, recent winner of’s Best Costumes and Best Set Design in SWFL theater, directs the crisp and amusing romp.

Sandy Porter stars as Mrs. Robinson and Jonathan Best as Benjamin in this winner of the Touring Broadway Award for Best Play. The supporting cast includes Rob Green, recently seen in the heart-wrenching role of Biff in Death of a Salesman, Shannon Riley, last seen in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and Mary Powell.
