Mikel Ruffinelli’s hips measure 8 feet in circumference, and she's happy with herself. She says, “I love my curves, I love my hips, I love my attributes and I love being unique,” according to the Huffington Post, on Tues., January 22.
Mikel, 39, tells Bancroft Media, “The gene of big hips runs in my family.” Her beautiful mom has big hips also. Some people have thought I had implants. I’ve been asked, “Is it real?”
“People will laugh, they’ll laugh, they’ll whisper; I’ve gotten videos recorded of me. Everywhere I go someone’s going to take out their camera.”
Mickel’s 99 inch hips cause many challenges for her: getting in and out of the shower, walking down hallways in her home, sitting on the plane, standing without hurting, and a number of other daily routine activities.
The world’s largest hipped woman has a relaxed attitude and her family has mixed feelings. One of her daughter’s says, “I don’t mind following in her footsteps, but I don’t really want to because I see her struggle….it kinda hurts me to see her struggle.”
Reggie, Mikel’s husband of ten years says, “She had a sweet disposition about her that really attracted me to her.”
