Brittney De Martini, owner/operator of La Salon Bella, is extremely pleased with the response to her hair salon business and notes she will be celebrating her sixth anniversary at the Bayview Cash Store location in March. Brittney says, “I feel so blessed and thankful to our loyal clients who continue to help us grow and succeed.”
Brittney dreamed of being a hairdresser when she was only five years old. After graduation from South Whidbey High School, she completed an intensive 11-month course at the Gene Juarez Academy to obtain the professional qualifications needed to fulfill her dream. She worked for another salon on South Whidbey for seven months after her graduation, but when the space at the Bayview Cash Store became available, she jumped at the chance to have her own business.
Although she was only 19 at the time, her maturity and business acumen were striking for such a young entrepreneur. In order to obtain the space from Goosefoot, Brittney had to present a business plan. Her plan assumed it would take two years to create a steady client base. Today, she notes, “In our first two years, we accomplished this goal, and we have been adding more regular clients all the time.”
Brittney acknowledges that she is blessed with having a large and supportive family network on the island. Less than a year after graduation, her father became aware of the new available space at Bayview, and the family offered to help Brittney create La Salon Bella.
Brittney has an excellent stylist working with her, Dylan Barnett, who is also Gene Juarez trained, and she is on the lookout for another stylist who will maintain the level of customer satisfaction La Salon Bella has established.
With an emphasis on five star customer service, La Salon Bella offers a range of services including: styling, cuts, color, foils, conditioning masks, toners, bonded hair extensions, creative hairdos and a tanning room.
Brittney comments, “We provide the highest quality products and services so that our clients feel like guests at the Salon, rather than customers.” She adds: “I chose the name “La Salon Bella” because bella means beautiful in Italian and that’s how I want my clients to feel when they’re here and after they leave.”
La Salon Bella is open Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Phone: 360-321-6030. You may email Brittney at firstname.lastname@example.org. Credit cards are accepted.
