L.A. Reid is set to return to the X Factor USA panel when the show returns this Fall. According to reports Saturday, Reid is the only judge, other than Simon, to remain on the show.
"The judge and Epic Records chairman signed the contract on Friday," a source told THR.
Reid survives Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, who were both fired the X Factor Monday. It is unclear who will join the EPIC Records chairman in the fall.
Reid signed both Marcus Canty and Chris Rene, two of the contestants he mentored during season one, to Epic Records. They join the actual winner, Melanie Amaro, on the label.
As widely reported, X Factor host Steve Jones was not asked to return either, leaving speculation as to who will replace him in the Fall.
The X Factor, season 2, is due to return this Fall on Fox.
