La Pentola greets guests with copper pots heralding it’s Italian name. Its claim to fame are handmade pastas and risottos redolent with the season’s bounty—all prepared in a traditional Tuscan manner with a pinch of BC flair for good measure.

The portions at La Pentola are generous and soul satisfying. Besides the a la carte offerings, the family style dinner is a favorite way to sample several of the chef’s creations.

The waitstaff are accommodating and attentive. The room is congenial and lively. La Pentola’s wines are mostly Italian with a smattering of BC local wine and are well paired to compliment the cuisine by knowledgeable servers.

This is casual, satisfying contemporary comfort food that leaves guests craving to return, and, in fact, it is considered a favorite of their loyal local repeat clientele who have over 60 neighborhood restaurants to choose from and yet return to La Pentola.
