On Saturday, February 26 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, the La Mesa Branch of the San Diego County Library will hold a Readers & Writers Book Fest as part of the City of La Mesa’s Centennial Celebration. The event includes presentations by the Honorable Dick Murphy, e-publishing expert David Wogahn, ‘Reading Corners’ for children’s stories, and a panel of Romance writers.
According to Liz Hildreth, Branch Manager, “We have a lot of romance readers at the La Mesa Library. We are always anxious to put readers and writers together. That is the purpose of the La Mesa Book Fest, as well as our mission as a library.”
At 1:00 pm, four Romance authors will discuss their books, the romance genre, and writing. The authors scheduled to attend include Terry Irene Blain, Georgie Lee, Jill Limber, and Toni Noel.
About the Authors
Terry Irene Blain’s (http://terryblain.backmybook.com/books) historical romance novel, Kentucky Green, is about a young woman journeying to her childhood home in Kentucky that becomes involved with a man she doesn’t want and who has a past that should keep them apart.
Georgie Lee’s (www.georgie-lee.com) latest novel is Mask of the Gladiator. A woman descended from Caesar becomes the target of a treacherous ruler’s lustful designs falls in love with a powerful senator plotting to assassinate the ruler. Their only hope to survive and help free Rome from tyranny is to work together.
Jill Limber likes to joke that, as a child, some of her tales got her in trouble, but now she gets paid for them. In her book, Montana Morning, a woman needs a husband to inherit her father's ranch, so she snatches a man off the gallows, thinking he will leave as soon as she has the deed in hand, but when the man sticks around afterwards, her life gets complicated.
In Toni Noel’s latest romantic suspense novel (www.toninoelauthor.com), former high school sweethearts Zoe and Jon are brought back together by a tripped security alarm. Jon, now a San Diego Deputy Sheriff, finds himself responding to a rash of home invasions, foiled burglary attempts, and a homicide that keep bringing him back into Zoe’s life. As Zoe sees more of Jon, she starts to resolve the mystery of their forced separation and the two rekindle their romance.
