If you are a fan of Prosecco, you probably already are familiar with the label La Marca. And if you have not tried La Marca, now is the time to do so!
La Marca is the number one Prosecco producer of these fabulous sparkling wines from Treviso, Italy. And Treviso and the surrounding areas are the leaders in the production of these Italian wines.
With the cool and pleasing taste of La Marca, it is no large surprise that Prosecco has become the leader in sparkling wines in the United States. In terms of growth, La Marca has expanded its US market dramatically over the past three years, and in 2013 showed a 13% growth over the previous year.
The juices for La Marca comes from a cooperative established over 40 years ago. With over 5000 vineyards in the cooperative, La Marca is able to select from among the finest grapes available to produce a consistently pleasant Prosecco.
Like many European producers, La Marca selects grapes directly for the production of a specific wine. And again, since Italy has so many small (in many cases very small) vineyards, La Marca grapes comes more from the area rather than one specific vineyard.
La Marca is consistently a pleasant drink. Regardless of the vintage, its pleasant body and the slight acidic taste makes it easy to pair with almost any food.
La Marca Prosecco has a light alcoholic content (11.3%) and is a nice morning starter for a fun weekend.
Have a winederful day!
