The Los Angeles KISS football organization announced today that they have been signed inebacker Beau Bell to the team. Bell, is a three-year Arena Football League (AFL) veteran who has continued to grow his AFL career since 2011 to quickly become one of the best linebackers in the league. He was formerly signed with the Spokane Shock.
“Beau is one of the best defensive players in the league and the exact type of player we are excited to build this franchise around,” stated Schuyler Hoversten, President of LA KISS. “Between his leadership capabilities, winning personality and incredible football talent, adding a player of Beau’s quality is sure to bring a new dimension of excitement to our 2014 season.”
Bell (6’2”, 240, UNLV) joins LA KISS following a stellar last three seasons as a member of the Spokane Shock. Throughout his time with the team, Bell collected 137 tackles (22 for a loss), 17 sacks, forced 6 fumbles and grabbed three interceptions. 2013 was a career year for Bell as he totaled 70 tackles, a team-high 8.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for a loss. Bell, also spent ttime with the Las Vegas Locomotives and Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.

A Los Angeles area native, Bell played football at Tustin High School in Tustin, California, before embarking on his collegiate career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As inside linebacker at UNLV, Bell played in 41 games (starting 26) and was ultimately named the 2007 Mountain West Conference Defensive MVP. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, and has additional experience in the United Football League and Canadian Football League
