The LA Galaxy won the SuperClasico for the 21st time against the Chivas USA at the Hub Stub Center on Sunday afternoon.

As reported by NBC Sports on Sunday, the Galaxy stomped on their same-city rivals Chivas with a final score of 3-0. The struggling Chivas team had their shot on goal in the 81st minute.

The SuperClasico has been played 31 times before Sunday’s match with 20 victories for the Galaxy and four for Chivas. The two Angeleno teams also had seven games that ended in ties.

Landon Donovan had a chance to surpass the MLS record for having the most goals, currently tied with Jeff Cunningham at 135 goals, but failed to find the net.

The three LA Galaxy players to score were Irish forward Robbie Keane (37th), Stefan Ishizaki (42nd), and Baggio Husidic (56th).

Additionally, the win for the LA Galaxy was the first victory for the Angeleno team for the 2014 MLS season. The first two matches were against Real Salt Lake which ended in a loss and a tie.
