Irish forward Robbie Keane saved the day for the LA Galaxy on Saturday by scoring the tying goal against Real Salt Lake in Utah.

It was reported on ESPN Deportes on Saturday that the Galaxy tied 1-1 with Real Salt Lake, playing at Rio Tinto Stadium in Utah.

Real scored first with a goal by Costa Rican striker Alvaro Saborio in the 19th minute. The Galaxy answered in the 34th minute with a goal by Robbie Keane.

The game was fairly even as both teams had, almost, the same amount shots on goal. Real Salt Lake had 10 while the LA Galaxy had nine.

Being at home, it seemed that Real controlled the ball just a bit more than the Angeleno team, 52% compared to 48%, based on ESPN’s stats.

This was round 2 for the Galaxy and both rounds were against the same team. The season opener two weekends ago in Los Angeles was lost to Real Salt Lake, 0-1.

The LA Galaxy has yet to win an MLS season game. Their next opponent will be home-town rivals Chivas USA for the SuperClasico on April 6.
