Keeping current with the trend, LA Doxies has officially made the transition to the uber popular Facebook. Today with many smart phones, iPads, tablets and laptops directly synced to Facebook the move was timely, and it promises to make keeping in touch and informed easier than ever.
LA Doxies is a social network of dachshund enthusiasts committed to regularly socializing their doxies. The group’s central focus is its annual 12 meetups at varied dog parks all over LA County. The group moderators have surveyed the region to find some of the best dog parks and beaches our cities offer. From Simi Valley to Pasadena to North Hollywood, LA Doxies’ meetups are meant to be monthly adventures for teckels and their humans.
Socialization, socialization and socialization is the group’s primary purpose. Even the most persnickety low-riding badger hunter seemingly enjoys the company of its fellow brethren to other breeds. For the humans of the doxies, it’s truly a majestic sight when LA Doxies flood local off-leash dog parks with a fun mixture of sausage dogs of all sizes, colors and ages.
Second to socialization, members provide a network of support to each other sharing funny stories, diverse experiences and an array of photos about their darling doxies. Members often join for the pure enjoyment and amusement the stubborn comical sidekicks consistently provide, but many have stay over the years because of the lasting bonds formed.
