LA Coroner’s Office: Corey Haim autopsy states he died of pulmonary congestion. Thursday, Corey Haim’s mother said that he died of pulmonary congestion. Judy Haim told Access Hollywood that the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office called her today with an early courtesy call and said that her son’s lungs were filled with water and his heart was enlarged. They cited the cause of death as pulmonary congestion.
Four prescription medication bottles were taken from Corey Haim’s room. Haim’s mother stated that was the only medication he was taking. The LA County Coroner’s office cannot confirm what medications he had been taking until the toxicology report comes back.
Corey Haim, 38, died early Wednesday morning after he woke up and told his mother that he was dizzy and then he fell to his knees. Haim’s mother called 911, and an ambulance took about 20 minutes to arrive and they were unable to revive him. His mother said that he had been having flu like symptoms over the past few days.
