Southern California's very own LA Blues SC are gearing up to play for the Western Conference title this weekend. The Blues are a second-tier semi-professional women's soccer team playing in the USL W-League.

The team, which splits it's home field between Stub Hub Center and Occidental College, has just finished up their regular season with an incredible 12-0-0 record, including 50 goals scored and only four allowed.

Even though the Blues finished top in the league, they will host the Western Conference second-place Colorado Pride on Saturday, July 19 at 7:30 pm (PST) at Occidental College to decide the Conference Champion.

The Blues are made up of many local Southern California stars such as Abby Dahlkemper (UCLA) Caprice Dydasco (UCLA), Sarah Killion (UCLA), Taylor Smith (UCLA), Shawna Gordon (Cal State University Long Beach), Kandace Love (Cal State Fullerton), Shanna Hudson (USC), Kayla Mills (USC), and Elizabeth Eddy (USC) to name a few.

The team also includes plenty of national team stars such as England's Rachel Daly, Katie Stengel (USWNT Youth Squad), Aubrey Bledsoe (USWNT Youth Squad) and more.

Orange County is represented by goalkeeper and former Aliso Niguel High School standout, Sammy Jo Prudhomme. The Aliso Viejo local allowed only two goals-against in 765 minutes of action for an amazing 0.235 goal-against average for the Blues.

The winner of Saturday's match between the Blues and the Pride will travel to Bradenton, Florida where they will vie for the W-League Championship trophy - along with the other four W-League Conference Champions. The W-League Championships will be held at IMG Academy in Bradenton from July 25-27, 2014.

Go out and support the LA Blues this weekend at Occidental College located at 1600 Campus Rd., Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are available at the gate for $10 and $5 for kids.
