This weekend, October 5th and 6th 2013 has some big events for car and truck enthusiasts.
For those near Santa Clarita there is a show today called Roddin by the Rocks at Agua Dulce airport. It is from 9-2 and the classes are interesting. It is open to agricultural, military, off road civil service and law enforcement vehicles as well as all pre 1975 cars and trucks.
Pfaff enginesa at 5362 System Drive Huntington Beach is having a BBQ car show. They are antsy to try out their new Dyno so are having specials to get on it.
In Chula Vista it is the 21st annual South Bay Cruisers classic car show at Bayside Park.
For Halloween-minded enthusiasts, there is a car show at the Big Horse Corn Maze in Temecula. Pick up a pumpkin while you're there.
At Ventura College in Ventura there is an automotive swapmeet. Specifically hot rods and Harleys from 7am-3pm.
5th & 6th:
See the 2014 cars and drive them at the OC international auto show ongoing Oct 3-6th at the Anaheim convention center. Tickets are $12 for adults and many coupons can be found. Free parking and shuttle at Angel Stadium for the weekend.
Lucas Oil Offroad Expo is ongoing the 5th and 6th at the Pomona Fairplex. Meet all the offroad celebrities, test ride in offroad vehicles and more.
A unique event is happening at the LA county arboretum and botanical gardens. Called Spyders in the Garden, pre 1975 Spyder/Spider automobiles will be set amongst the foliage. Kids get to participate in a scavenger hunt involving the cars as well. Admission to the gardens is $9 for adults, $4 for kids and $6 for students and seniors.
Ford Truck lovers should go the Long Beach convention center's parking lot for the Ford truck jam. There will be music and food trucks.
Other Ford lovers can go to Twila Reid Park in Anaheim for the Early V-8 club's picnic. Gates open at 7am.
Valenica auto center in Santa Clarita is hosting a show called Chrome & Cuisine which will have gourmet food turcks and classic cars.
