The first annual LA Art Book Fair will be held at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA starting tomorrow. It will be held all weekend, from Thursday (Jan. 31) through Sunday (Feb. 3). The fair will be a free admission to the public, which will feature artists' books from at least twenty different countries. Such items include zines, catalogs, books, periodicals, and monographs represented by international presses and publishers.
The event is put together by Printed Matter, Inc., an artists' publication source. It is a non-profit organization raising the awareness of artists' works and their contribution to the art world. Many artists come to this publication when they are just emerging into the scene or are not yet introduced and produced to the public.

The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is located on North Central Ave. in Los Angeles. Unfortunately the North Central Ave. location is still under construction and will be closed until April 21, but there is still plenty to do in the area.
