Mick Jagger is reportedly devastated over the loss and was not in New York at the time of the tragedy. Jagger is in Australia on tour with the Rolling Stones. The report states that Jagger had offered financial help to his girlfriend of more than a decade, yet she refused. While the report focuses greatly on financial reasons, and though they may have contributed to feelings of helplessness and despair, suicide is often a result of clinical depression. It is unclear whether Scott sought treatment for any depression that may have resulted due to financial stress or feelings of anxiety or despair.

L’Wren Scott was also a model and stood a statuesque 6’3”. She was not only revered for her beauty, but her talent and joyous personality as well.

News of her death prompted many celebrities to offer condolences on Twitter. It is unclear at this point whether Mick Jagger will cancel or postpone the tour.
