L'Ermitage Beverly Hills is an understated A-list sophisticated boutique hotel which represents decades of refined luxury as it was once the home of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Jeremy Penn's fine art works are featured throughout the L'Ermitage lobby, concierge and surrounding the front desk; this young 30's artist from NY studied at the University of Maryland and Pratt Institute. His works are internationally exhibited at the metropolitan museum and are remarkably reminiscent of Andy Warhol impressions. His works which recently premiered at the hotel are featured with portraits of Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Moss, David Bowie, Bridget Bardot and Jane Fonda.
The Livello restaurant located in the lobby of L'Ermitage serves lunches, piano bar drinks and diner to the Hollywood " it crowd" and entertainment professionals. Livello restaurant serves authentic regional Italian cuisine by Chef Mirko Paderno. who hosted celebrity Canadian singer songwriter Leah Hawkins while in town filming documentary on her growing up on tour with her famous Rock Roll legend father Ronnie Hawkins, who was recently honored with Canadian national award "The Order of Canada", one of the highest regarded honors in Canada for his contribution to music and rock and roll.
The Livello restaurant lunch featured a beet and arugula salad with barata cheese, a freshly tossed Caesar salad with anchovy dressing; and secondi course of gnocchi with tomato sauce, and grilled salmon served over fingerling potatoes with grilled artichoke and a scrumptious tomato based sauce ,prepared to perfection.
