L'Arc~en~Ciel's world tour stops in New York City

Following their 20th L'Anniversary tour in Japan, which was streamed in theaters across the world, L'Arc~en~Ciel will be travelling in March and April for their 2012 worldwide tour.

The band's first stop will be in Hong Kong on March 3rd at the Asia World Expo, followed by shows in Bangkok, Shanghai, Taipei, New York City, London, and Paris, ending on April 14th. L'Arc~en~Ciel, originally scheduled to play in New York on March 23rd, has since had the date changed to the 25th due to the need for a larger theater. The band will now be playing at the Madison Square Garden Arena, the bigger of the two theaters, which can fit a total of 12,500 attendees.

Tickets can currently be bought for all sites except New York City. Ticket sale information can be monitored on the 20th L'Anniversary World Tour website, as well as L'Arc~en~Ciel's official US street team Facebook page.

The members of L'Arc~en~Ciel are vocalist Hyde, guitarist Ken, bassist Tetsuya, and drummer Yukihiro. The band formed in 1991, was a guest at Otakon in 2004 and has performed several theme songs to anime shows, including Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suite Gundam 00, Rurouni Kenshin and more. They will release their twelfth studio album, Butterfly, on February 8, 2012.
