Chris Paul, here’s your chance. Same goes for Chris Hardwick.
Paul and Hardwick are the owners of the Los Angeles X and Silver Lake (Calif.) Atom Splitters, respectively, and have recently been active reconfiguring their rosters for the Professional Bowlers Assn. League’s second season.
All eight teams in the league have now filled their first four roster spots with one position remaining.
Among the free agents still available is Kelly Kulick of Union, N.J.
The teams will take part in the PBA League draft in Las Vegas in early November that will set the final roster. Unlike last year, there will just be five-player teams without a supplemental pick.
Last year Kulick was a supplemental pick of the New York City WTT KingPins, meaning Kulick was available for duty in case one of the team’s player was unable to perform.
It turns out Kulick – the only woman to win a PBA Tour title and the only woman on a PBA League roster – was not needed and the KingPins went on to claim the inaugural Elias Cup trophy for owner Billie Jean King, the lone woman owner in the league.
Yet, Kulick showed what she could do in the Elias Cup finals during the KingPins’ victory over the Motown Muscle. With the championship assured, Kulick came in cold to bowl in the bottom of the 10th frame and drilled strikes on her two shots.
Kulick, a graduate of Morehead State University in Kentucky, doesn’t appear to have L.A. links, but she is a huge talent with striking looks. Hollywood and she would be a good fit.
Kulick showed up her male colleagues at the 2010 PBA Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas. She reached the final after defeating Mika Koivuniemi, who incidentally has been picked up by the X for the 2014 season.
Then Kulick overpowered Chris Barnes, 265-195, in the championship game. Barnes was the franchise player of the Atom Splitters last year and he’ll continue in that capacity in the PBA League’s second season.
Kulick is more than a great bowler; she has personality. She appeared in ESPN the Magazine’s annual “Bodies We Want” issue in October 2011 – the first bowler to appear in this issue.
Kulick also endorsed several bathing suit lines after her stunning victory at the Tournament of Champions. And she works at times in her dad’s auto-body shop.
She seems made for L.A.
One can only hope Paul and Hardwick are thinking the same thing.
PBA League notes: The league’s second season will start Jan. 1 at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich. This is a change from what was previously announced – that the season would start in late October.

The Atom Splitters team: No. 1, Barnes; No. 2, Wes Malott (formerly of the X); No. 3, Tommy Jones (formerly of the KingPins); No. 4, Dom Barrett.
