For the past few weeks we’ve been following the plight of Ed Fitch, a leader in the L.A. Pagan community. He was in court Friday to make a case for keeping his house. Here is what he posted on his Facebook page:

“Well, we won this round, and ‘dodged the bullet!’" says Ed Fitch. “On a technicality brought up by our side, the judge ruled in our favor against the financial firm that bought up my house, Chase Merritt (not to be confused with the bank, Chase Manhattan).

“We have now gained maybe three weeks to see if we can successfully take action against Wells Fargo. It’s only a part of the battle, but success feels good.”

The Pagan community needs to keep sending good energy his way.

Here are some encouraging words from another Pagan leader for Pagans facing foreclosure and in similarly dire straits:

“The core teaching of Goddess traditions is simply this: we are all interconnected and interdependent. If we recognize that truth, if we acknowledge that we must all pull together, we can steer through even the heaviest rapids. But if we start pushing people off the raft and fighting over the oars, we will all go under, responsible and irresponsible alike.”
