L.A. Food Trucks Mobile-ize to Feed the Hungry

From now until January 4, 2014, select Los Angeles food trucks will be collecting non-perishable food items to be delivered to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, a non-profit organization helping to feed more than 850,000 hungry people in L.A. this holiday season.

The Got Food Trucks Food Drive, organized by The Food Trucker, a food truck directory site, and Got Food Trucks, a marketing and event planning company, has pledged to collect 400 pounds of food. That's equal to three-to-four full cardboard food drive boxes, which can be found in front of participating food trucks. Donations of canned fruits and vegetables, dry pasta, cereal and peanut butter are especially needed.
