L.A. Fashion Week has officially begun. The Concept Los Angeles fashion shows and installations take place tomorrow at their new location in West Hollywood at Quixote Studios, showcasing a long roster of designers.
The event kicks off at noon with an installation by Mike Vensel and ends at 9 p.m. with a runway show by the new label, Yoze. The lineup includes runway shows every two hours by the designers Nuvula, JBurgos, Emily Daccarett and Korovilas. Hourly fashion installations include designs by Mathiasen, Styles by Ana, Jen Awad, Camila x Castillo, Lee+Lani Swimwear, Kittinhawk, Paul Redmond and ODA.
The Concept industry event is open to buyers and press only, but there are some L.A. Fashion Week shows open to consumers next week, including the Project Ethos event on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Presented by Scion, the event includes a progressive lineup of both local and international fashion, music and art. Project Ethos and French Tuesdays will host their collaboration during L.A. Fashion Week at Avalon Hollywood from 8pm to 2am.
Designers featured include a new collection of swimwear by vitamin A called CA, Alex Vinash, Tumbler & Tipsy by Michael Kuluva, and jewelry by Kristen Dorsey Designs paired with Lauren Stucky. Fashion showcases take place at 9pm and 10pm with an encore presentation at 12am.
Lab Art, the largest street art gallery in the nation, will present three of their resident live artists at the Project Ethos event, including Mar (aka This Means Mar), Annie Preece and LeBa. At 11pm, guests will be treated to a live performance from L.A.-based YACHT.

Style Fashion Week shows also kick-off tomorrow with invite-only media events from Oct. 12 – 18 with an opening night ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception starting at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the event’s new venue at L.A. Live. Now deemed the Official L.A. Fashion Week by the City of Los Angeles, Style Fashion Week is one of the largest, most influential fashion events of the season. Monday – Thursday, doors open at 4 p.m. with a runway shows starting every hour at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Buyers and press can register here.
