L.A. County Fair begins; $1 admissions this weekend only

Craving carnival food like deep fried, chocolate covered, and put on a stick everything? Missing the entertainment and thrill seeking in your life? Are you having nightmares of being attacked my giant funnel cakes covered with powdered sugar and fresh strawberry preserve screaming your name? If you are suffering from any of these symptoms, then your body must be sensing the L.A. County Fair beginning this Labor Day Weekend in Pomona at the Pomona Fairplex.

There will be attractions over the fair's stay in Los Angeles such as a Live Shark Encounters, Aerial Arts Circus Show, Dream World Cirque, Barnyard Racers Pig Racing, Chinese Circus of Beijing, Dan Sperry Magic, Eric Buss Comedy, Jurassic Planet Bio-Research Facility, Traveling Circus, Pirate Parrot Show, and much more.

Performances by ABDC's Fanny Pak and Instant Noodles, Joshua Tree, Liquid Blue, Person to Person, and a huge variety of additional performances September 3rd through October 2nd.

The famous will be out and about at the event. This weekend see artists like The Ohio Players, Gloria Trevi, and The Beach Boys perform. Next weekend is En Vogue, Salt-N-Pepa, and One Republc. You just might want to visit the event every weekend because the list goes on and on consisting of more names like Victoria Justice, LeAnn Rimes, Earth, Wind & Fire, Styx, Doobie Brothers, and more. You won't want to miss this staple in Los Angeles culture that has been around since it's official start on October 17, 1922. The event only ran for five days back then, so we are much luckier getting a whole month to splurge.

Admissions on weekdays:

Adults 13 and up $12; Children 6-12 $7; Seniors 60 and up $9; Children 5 and under Free

Admission on weekends:

Adults $17; Child $12, Seniors $14; Children under 5 Free

General parking is $10; Preferred $15; VIP $20; & Valet $25 (Gate 3 only)
