L.A. Coroner on Whitney Houston's Death: Accidental Drowning

In a report released by the L.A. County Coroner's office, Whitney Houston's official cause of death has been ruled an accidental drowning with contributing effects of "atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."

Prescription drugs and marijuana were also found in her system but did not contribute to her death. The release from the report concludes "no trauma or foul play" is suspected.

Houston was found in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton hotel room on February 11th, the day before the Grammy Awards. She was reportedly submerged in water and could not be revived. She was buried in Westfield, N.J., on February 19th.

The final coroner's report will be released in two weeks.
