Kyndall Covington is the new Miss Lexington, Miss Tennessee Chandler Lawson announced on Feb. 17.
The victory qualifies Covington for the Miss Tennessee Pageant. The winner of the state pageant will represent Tennessee at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.
The state pageant is scheduled for June 19-22 at Jackson Civic Center in Jackson.
She is a 2013 graduate of the University of Michigan, where she majored in business administration, according to her Facebook page.
Covington competed in the Miss Tennessee 2011 Pageant as Miss Metropolitan. She was a preliminary winner in the swimsuit competition.
She also competed in the Miss Tennessee 2012 Pageant as Miss Metropolitan.
She was second runner-up for Miss Tennessee USA 2011.
Covington also reigned as Miss Memphis USA 2012.
Miss Tennessee contestants are judged in four categories; private interview (25 percent of total), on-stage question (five percent), talent (35 percent), evening wear (20 percent) and swimsuit (15 percent).
