Kyle Schmid to join the CW's Arrow

The CW’s Arrow, a show whose characters are based on DC Comics graphic novels and comic books, premiers this fall. Kyle Schimd, who is probably most well known for his roles in Blood Ties, Being Human, and the BBC’s Copper, has recently been added to the show lineup. Schmid will be playing Ace, a member of the Royal Flush Gang, a group of card playing delinquents. The Royal Flush Gang appears in the episode titled “Legacies” which involves a bank robbery, a crowd of hostages and playing card masks.

Although some of these characters are based on superheros from the comics, one difference in Arrow is that the characters will not have superpowers. About the lack of power, Zap2it reports that Andrew Kreisberg, an executive producer of Arrow, states “What it does is it creates an opportunity for us to reinvent some characters and present them in a non-powers, grounded way’.

So, if you’re a comic fanatic and even if you’re not, tune into the CW to watch the series premiere on Wednesday, October 10th at 8/7 CST

If you would like to see Kyle before the episode airs on Arrow, tune in to the BBC to watch him in Copper on Sunday nights at 10/9 CST.
