Kyle Sandilands vs. Mel B: Former 'X Factor' judges compete on rival radio shows

Former "X Factor" Australia judges Kyle Sandilands and Mel B (also known as Melanie Brown) are competing against each other on rival radio shows in Australia. On Jan. 19, 2014, Sandilands took the rivalry to a personal level when he attacked the credibility of Mel B by saying that she's lying about how long she will be staying with her radio show.

Sandilands and his longtime sidekick Jackie O used to host 2Day FM's morning show in Australia. They left to launch their own morning show on Kiis FM. The morning show on 2Day FM is now hosted by Mel B, Merrick Rosso, Sophie Monk and Jules Lund.

Sandilands started the feud with Mel B when he told the Daily Telegraph: "I know that already for a fact, she's only there for three months."

Mel B denied it in an interview with News.com.au, by saying, "I'm definitely on it longer than three months."

According to News.com.au, Sandliands responded by telling the website on Jan. 19, 2014: "She's lying. She is on a three-month deal. Whether they extend that or not, I don't know. Whether she'll want to do breakfast radio on a low-rating station in Sydney while she's touring America doing 'America's Got Talent' in Michigan I doubt very much."

Mel B (who is also known as Scary Spice from the Spice Girls) became a judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent" in 2013. NBC has announced that Mel B, Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum will continue to be judges on "America's Got Talent" in 2014.

Sandilands was a judge on "The X Factor" Australia in 2010. He quit the show because he said he wanted to focus on his radio career. Sandilands was a judge on "Australia's Got Talent" from 2010 to 2013, which was most likely his last year on the show since "Australia's Got Talent" is headed toward cancellation due to low ratings.

Sandliands was replaced on "The X Factor" Australia by Mel B, who was a judge on "The X Factor" Australia in 2011 and 2012. She left the show to become a judge on "America's Got Talent." In 2013, Dannii Minogue replaced Mel B on "The X Factor" Australia. Minogue was a judge on "Australia's Got Talent" from 2007 to 2012, and a judge on "The X Factor" U.K. from 2007 to 2010.
