Kyle Busch turned in a 29.384-second/183.773 mph lap at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday during NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying to claim the pole for Friday night's North Carolina Education Lottery 200. He'll be joined on the front row by series points leader Matt Crafton. Brad Keselowski and Ron Hornaday qualified third and fourth for second row starting spots.

Jeb Burtons lap time of 29.772 seconds (181.378 mph) was fastest in the first of three rounds of qualifying. In the first round, Crafton and Busch posted the second and third fastest laps, leading 24 drivers on to the second round.

Brian Ickler posted a fast time of 29.792 seconds (181.257 mph) to top the speed chart in the second round, followed by Crafton and Darrell Wallace Jr.

Twelve drivers advanced to the third round to set the top-12 spots on the starting grid. Qualifying fifth through 12th were Ickler, Ben Kennedy, Johnny Sauter, Jeb Burton, Timothy Peters, Ryan Blaney, Wallace and Gresham.
